Campus Ministry Director
Dick Beswick has served as director of UCF since founding it in 1978. He received a bachelors with honors in religious studies from the University of Oregon and holds a M.Div. from Yale University. Dick currently teaches World Religions for New Hope Christian College, and has also taught apologetics and world religions at Northwest Christian University. Dick has published articles and essays on religion and public education and has written a training manual for apologetics and evangelism for summer mission programs. He helped found the Mars Hill Forum in Eugene and has directed the campus ministry since its inception in 1978. In his spare time, he is an avid fly fisherman.
Emily has been a part of UCF since 2014, and is thrilled to be serving as a full-time campus minister beginning in May 2018. After coming to Eugene to pursue a Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon, she realized God was calling her to serve in campus ministry. Upon graduation, she began a year-long internship with UCF and transitioned into part-time staff the following year. She loves learning about other cultures (and trying their food!), working with the house residents, and reading, and is an avid lover of early music.
